Learn basic digital camera functions and core photographic concepts such as depth of field, shutter speed, exposure, and composition. Using a hands-on approach, we will explore different photographic styles and creative expression. The course will incorporate demonstrations, slide shows, photo assignments, discussions and critiques, all of which will encourage students to explore the full potential of the medium. Students must have a digital SLR camera that allows manual control, including a range of shutter speeds and aperture settings. Please bring your SLR camera and manual to class. This is a great class if you’re wanting to brush up on photography concepts, get input on your work, or if you want a general introduction to photography before taking more advanced photography courses.
